G.S.Thorat & Co. Chartered Accountants is located at 332/A in Shukrawar Peth. If you know Pune, you know how crowded and lively the Peth areas can be. Our office is tucked away in this part of town and it’s been our home base for quite some time. Dealing with Maharashtra’s tax rules and all the paperwork that comes with it keeps us pretty occupied throughout the week. The building has that classic old Pune feel to it. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of cabinets filled with client records. We don’t have any big corporate lobbies or shiny glass walls here. It’s a practical space where we sit down and focus on the math. Sometimes the power goes out or the street outside gets blocked by a procession, but we just work through it. Being in Shukrawar Peth means there’s always something happening right outside the door. Most days are spent checking ledgers or making sure everything is filed correctly with the authorities. We don’t really do much advertising; people mostly find us because they live nearby or someone they know told them where we are. It’s a straightforward operation. We open up in the morning, handle the accounts, and head home when the work is finished. It’s just honest work in a very traditional part of the city. We like the rhythm of it, even when the piles of folders on the desks get a bit too high for comfort. It's just a part of the daily life in the Peth.
