We are based in Pune at a place called Pitruchhaya. It is located in the 411009 pin code area. We have been working in the garment business for some time now. Our workspace is not one of those modern, shiny offices you see in the IT parks. It is a more traditional setup with a lot of character. We have several rows of sewing machines and large wooden tables where we lay out the fabric for cutting. The floors are concrete and there is usually a bit of lint and thread around because we are always working. We make various types of clothing, and we focus mainly on the construction of the garments. Our workers are local people who have a lot of experience with this kind of work. We don't have a lot of meetings or fancy presentations. We just get the instructions for the day and start sewing. Sometimes the weather in Pune gets very dry, which affects how we handle certain fabrics. We have a small area where we keep all our finished stock in plastic bags. It is a bit of a squeeze when we have a big order ready to go out. We drink a lot of tea to keep us going through the afternoon. It is a simple operation, and we like it that way. We just want to make sure the clothes we produce are sturdy and well-made. There is no magic to it, just hard work.
