Graphic Art Centre

Our shop is located in Shop No 1 of the J K Market, right in the middle of Tapkir Galli in Budhwar Peth. Anyone familiar with this area knows how tight the streets are with all the businesses squeezed together. Graphic Art Centre is usually filled with the low hum of computer fans and the sharp smell of printing ink. We handle a lot of different tasks here, mostly involving paper layouts and digital screens. It is never a silent office because there is always a machine running or a discussion about how a page should look. By the time we close up, the floor is usually covered in paper scraps regardless of how often we clean. Survey Nio 510 is the official address on the papers, but customers just look for our small sign in the market. A few old desks are pushed together to make space, and we keep some stools around for people to sit on while checking their proofs. The afternoon heat makes the ceiling fans work overtime. Decorating the walls isn't a priority since we are focused on finishing the projects that come through the door. People from the local neighborhood drop by for all their basic printing needs throughout the week. We just do the work, check that the colors aren't blurry, and pass the finished product over the counter. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just have to sit and wait it out in the dark.
