Gokul Varities

Gokul Varities is located near Atul Nagar, specifically at number 3 in the Mahatma Phule Peth area of Warje Malwadi. We’ve been here for a while now. It’s a local neighborhood shop, nothing too fancy. I spend my days mostly sitting near the entrance, watching the street and helping whoever comes in. We carry a lot of different things, which is why we call it Gokul Varities. It’s mostly stuff for the house or small things kids need for school. The area around Ganj is always busy, so there’s always something happening outside the door. Sometimes my neighbor from the next shop comes over for tea, and we talk about how much the area has grown. When I first started here, there weren't as many buildings as there are now. The shop itself is quite modest. We have wooden shelves that we built ourselves and the lighting isn't the brightest, but it works for us. I don't really use a computer for much; I prefer writing things down in my notebook. It’s just easier for me to keep track of what we owe and what we’ve sold that way. People around here know me by name, which makes the long hours feel a bit shorter. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we’re happy just being part of the local community here in Warje. It is a good place to spend the day.
