Godavari Poultry Farm Llp is based at Bafna Mala in the Tardobachiwadi area of Shirur. Our main spot is at house number 518/R 1. If you come out this way, you will see it is a lot of open space which is good for what we do. We spend most of our time looking after the birds and making sure the farm is running the way it should. It is a lot of early mornings and late nights, but that is just the way it goes with poultry. You can't really take a day off when you have live animals depending on you. The air out here in Shirur is usually pretty good, and we have enough room to breathe. We are a local family-run type of operation, so we don't have any fancy boardrooms or anything like that. We just have the sheds and a small space where we keep our records. It is honest work, even if it is a bit messy and loud sometimes with all the chickens. We have been at Bafna Mala for a while now and the locals know where to find us. We don't try to be something we aren't, we just produce what we can and hope the market prices stay steady enough for us to keep going. It is a simple life but it keeps us busy and we like the independence of running our own farm. There is always work to be done here.
