Gifts Avenue

You will find Gifts Avenue on the second floor of Laate Niwas, which is house number 541. We are right at Alka Chowk on Kumthekar Road. It’s a very busy part of the city, and the traffic outside never really stops. Being on the second floor gives us a little bit of a break from the noise on the street. We’ve been here for some time now, and the building has that old charm to it. We don’t have a flashy entrance or a big sign on the ground floor, so you have to look for the stairs. We deal in all sorts of gift items, mostly stuff we think people will actually use or appreciate. It’s not a corporate setup; it’s more of a family-run kind of place. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and our afternoons dealing with whoever climbs the stairs to see us. The space is filled with shelves and boxes, and it can feel a bit cramped when we have a lot of new stock. We don’t do much advertising. People usually find us because they were already on Kumthekar Road for something else. We just try to be honest about what we have and help people find a gift that fits. Sometimes the elevator in the building is a bit moody, so we tell people to be prepared for the stairs just in case. It’s a simple way to run a business, and we like it that way. We try to keep things stocked year round and organized.
