Gift Shop

Our place is just called Gift Shop, and we are situated on the 1st Floor on Andree Road. This is over in the Shanthinagar area of Lohogaon. Since we are on the first floor, people have to walk up the stairs to see what we have, which means it’s a bit quieter than the shops right on the street level. We have all kinds of things spread out on tables and shelves—vases, greeting cards, and little trinkets. The windows look out over Andree Road, so we spend a bit of time watching the traffic when things are slow. The shop has a bit of a lived-in feel, with some old posters on the walls and a desk that’s seen better days. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that; it’s just a small local business. Most people who find us are from around the Lohogaon area or people who live nearby in Shanthinagar. We keep the place open pretty late most days because that’s when people usually realize they forgot to buy a present for someone. It’s not a huge operation, just a couple of us making sure things are priced correctly and the shelves aren't empty. We don't bother with much marketing; people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign from the road while they are walking past the building.
