Geomagnetic Consultants

The office is tucked away in Deccan Gymkhana, right near Bangalore Bazaar 4. It’s a crowded part of town, so there’s always something happening right outside the window. We’ve been operating Geomagnetic Consultants from this floor for a few years. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of technical charts. The elevators in this building are a bit slow, so we usually just take the stairs. Most of our day is spent looking at data or talking on the phone with people who need advice on their projects. It isn’t the quietest place because of the bazaar downstairs, but you get used to the background noise after a week. We keep a small kettle for tea because none of us likes walking down three flights every time we need a break. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, which can be frustrating, but we manage to get things done eventually. We aren’t a huge team, just a few people who know their way around these specific types of surveys. Our desks are usually covered in notebooks and printouts. The area around here is great for lunch, though, with all the small eateries around the corner. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights outside. People usually find us because they were told where to look. It’s a practical workspace for us, and it serves its purpose without needing to be anything more than that. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
