General Motors Technical Center India is located in the Gaurav Raj Building right behind Bharti Vidyapeeth and next to the Avadhoot Arcade in Pune. This part of Maharashtra is always buzzing with students and people on their way to work. Our office is a busy place where we handle a lot of the technical and engineering side of things for the company. It is a large building, but once you are inside, it feels like any other workplace with people sitting at their desks and working on their computers. Most of the staff here are engineers who spend their time looking at data and software. Finding our spot is pretty easy because the university is such a big landmark in this area. We have been here for a while and the office has grown as we took on more work. It is not a showroom, so you won’t see cars parked in the lobby or anything like that. It’s a place for serious work and technical thinking. We have a break room where people grab their tea and snacks, and that is usually where the most talking happens. The traffic in Pune can be quite something in the mornings, so most of us are used to the long commute. We just focus on getting our tasks done and making sure everything runs smoothly from our side of the world. It’s a grounded, busy environment with a lot of screens and paperwork.
