Gauri Nandan Mens Parlour

If you walk down Ambegaon Pathar Road near the K K Wholesale Market, you will see Gauri Nandan Mens Parlour. We are right across from the Mhasoba Mandir Chowk, which is a busy spot. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself and I knew how to cut hair well. The shop is located in Mohan Nagar near Durvankur Garden. It’s a good area with lots of families and students. Every day is pretty much the same, I open up the shutters, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to come in. I don’t use any of those high-end products you see in advertisements, just the stuff that works. People like the way I do a traditional shave with a straight razor. It's about being careful and taking your time. I’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, with new buildings going up everywhere. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, but inside we just focus on the haircut. My chairs are a bit old but they are comfortable enough. We get a lot of regulars who don’t even have to tell me what they want anymore. I just know. It’s a small life but it’s a good one. We are just a local business trying to do right by the people who live around Dhankawadi and Pune Satara Road every day and we enjoy seeing them grow up.
