Garaj Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Garaj, Vaijapur. We are based at Sandip Devidas Sarowar’s house, number 115. It is a quiet village in the Aurangabad district. We started this because we were tired of being at the mercy of the big markets in the city. Vaijapur is a good place for farming, but it has its challenges like anywhere else. We use Sandip’s place as our base because it’s easy for everyone to get to. We are just a bunch of neighbors who decided to join forces. Most days, someone is stopping by to ask about seed prices or to see if we have heard anything about the harvest rates. It is a very informal way of doing things, but it’s how we like it. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy logo on everything. We just have our names and our reputation in the village. It is hard work, and sometimes we wonder if it’s worth the extra trouble of running a company. But then we see how we can help a neighbor get a better price, and it feels okay. We are just trying to keep our traditions alive while finding new ways to sell our crops. It’s a slow process, and we are just taking it one day at a time. The office is really just a desk in the corner of a living room, but the work is real.
