You can find us on the second floor near the Dena Bank on Apte Road in Budhwar Peth. Being on the second floor means people have to walk up the stairs, so we don't always get the random foot traffic that shops on the street get. But we have been here long enough that people know where to go. The building is an older one, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but once you get inside, we have plenty of gifts and small items to look at. It is usually a bit quieter up here than down on the main road, which I like. I spend a lot of time arranging the shelves and making sure the glass isn't smudged. Budhwar Peth is a busy place, and there is always something going on outside. Sometimes we sit by the window and watch the traffic while waiting for the next person to come in. We don't have a lot of fancy lights or music playing. It is just a simple shop with stuff like photo frames, some small statues, and things people buy for holidays. We keep a fan going because it gets warm in the afternoons. Sometimes the delivery guys complain about carrying boxes up the stairs, but they are used to us by now. It is just me and my nephew working here most days. We try to keep things simple and honest for everyone who visits.
