Ganesh Furniture

Our place is in Kothrud, tucked away in the R M Construction Classic Apartments on Paud Road. We are quite near the Indira Shankar Nagri area, so it is a pretty well-known spot for locals. The shop is always full of wood and the strong smell of varnish or glue most days. It is a bit crowded in here because we have finished pieces waiting to be picked up and raw materials stacked up against every wall. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and trying to make sure every joint fits together like it should. Paud Road is always packed with traffic, so getting deliveries in or out can be a real headache some mornings. We do not have a big fancy showroom with bright lights and salesmen. It is more of a workshop where you can see the tools lying around and sawdust on the floor. People from the apartments nearby often drop in just to ask about small repairs or some new cabinets for their kitchens. We just talk to them plainly about what can be done and how much wood we will need. It is honest work and we take it one piece at a time. Sometimes the finish does not dry as fast as we want because of the humidity, and we just have to wait it out. It is not a fast-paced corporate life. We just work with our hands and try to make things that will last a long while in someone's home.
