Gajanan T Rahate

This spot in Erandwane at K 212 has been my base of operations for quite some time. It is Gajanan T Rahate here. I decided to set up shop in this part of town because it is where I grew up. The building is not brand new, and the door sticks a little when it is raining, but it works for what I need. I spend a lot of my time handling the day-to-day stuff that comes across my desk. It is a bit of a small space, but I have managed to fit everything I need inside. I usually keep a pot of tea going if someone drops by. People in Erandwane know the address, and I have become a bit of a fixture here. I do not have a flashy sign out front. I think people prefer it that way. It is more personal. My family sometimes says I spend too much time at the office, but there is always something that needs fixing or looking at. It is not the kind of place where you will find people in suits. We just wear what is comfortable and get the job done. I have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but K 212 stays pretty much the same. I like the routine of coming in every morning and seeing the familiar faces. It is just how things are run around here. No big secrets or anything.
