Formations Architects

Our place is on the third floor of an old building in Pune, Flat 14. It’s a typical city office—nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s all Formations Architects. We have been here for quite some time now. The elevator works most of the time, but we usually just take the stairs anyway. The office is basically a few rooms packed with desks, computers, and a lot of physical models that we’ve made over the years. It gets a bit cluttered with all the samples of tiles and wood lying around. We spend our days drawing up plans and arguing over the best way to fit everything into a small space. We aren't the type of people who wear suits or have formal titles. We just call each other by our names and try to get the work done before the sun goes down. Most of our clients are local developers or people looking to build their first house. We sit around the main table, drink too much tea, and try to figure out the best way to handle the local building codes. It’s a lot of practical, everyday work. We don't really have a big philosophy or anything like that. We just like making sure the buildings we design are solid and make sense for the people living in them.
