Firmitas Clothing India Private Limited operates out of a space in Vishrantwadi, Pune. We are specifically located in Kasturba Society, using Flat 12 in the building on Survey Number 39/2. It’s more of a residential neighborhood than a big commercial hub, which makes the mornings a bit quieter compared to the city center. We converted the flat into our working area, so it feels very much like a home office, just with a lot more boxes and clothing samples lying around on the chairs. We don't have a big sign out front or a lobby. Usually, we are just sitting at the dining table which we now use for meetings or at the desks we squeezed into the rooms. The view from the window is just the other buildings in the society and a few trees. We do our planning here, talk to suppliers on the phone, and check the quality of the clothes that come in. It’s a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from answering emails to packing boxes for delivery. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside, and we can hear them while we work. It’s a very grounded way to run a business. We don’t have corporate hierarchies; we just talk across the room to get things sorted. When the day is done, we just lock the flat door and walk down the stairs, feeling more like neighbors than office workers. It’s simple and it works for us.
