Excess Coaching Classes

We started Excess Coaching Classes because there weren't many places nearby for kids to get extra help with their schoolwork. We are located right at Dukirkline 46. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes the noise from the street gets inside, but we’ve gotten used to it. The room isn’t very big, just enough for a few rows of desks and a whiteboard that we’ve had since the beginning. Most days, students start showing up around four in the afternoon. They come from the local schools, carrying heavy bags and looking a bit tired. We usually have some tea ready for the teachers in the back room. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy computer labs or anything like that. Just books, pens, and a lot of talking. Sometimes we stay late when exams are coming up. The light outside the door flickers a bit, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. People in the neighborhood know us as the place where the kids hang out to study. It’s not a big corporate center. Just a few of us trying to explain math and science in a way that makes sense. We’ve seen a lot of kids grow up here, starting in primary and staying until they finish their board exams. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, especially with the paperwork, but we manage. Dukirkline is a good place for us to work every day.
