We have been running this shop at 592 Ganesh Road in Budhwar Peth for many years now. It’s a familiar spot for many because we are located right near Lal Mahal. People know us as the local place to get a decent haircut without any fuss. The AC in our name is there because it really helps with the heat on those long summer afternoons in the city. When my father first opened the doors here, the neighborhood looked quite different. Now, it’s always crowded with people visiting the landmark nearby. Our shop is small but we keep it tidy enough. You’ll usually find me or one of the other barbers ready to go as soon as someone walks in. We don't have a website or any fancy booking system. People just show up, sit on the bench, and wait their turn. We talk about the local news or the cricket scores while we work. It’s a simple life. Sometimes the noise from the traffic on Ganesh Road gets a bit much, but once you’re in the chair, it’s a bit more peaceful. We serve everyone from young kids to the older men who have been coming here for decades. We just provide a regular service for the community. The mirrors are old and the floor has seen better days, but the atmosphere is friendly. That’s just how we do things at Budhwar Peth.
