We run Emmay Hr from a spot on B.T. Kawade Road in Pune. We are located at Media Park, specifically in Flat B-1, which is associated with Mr. N.L. Goswami. It is not your typical glass-and-steel office building. It is more of a homey environment where we can actually focus on the HR work we do. Being in a flat means we do not have that cold, corporate atmosphere. We just sit around our desks and get to work on whatever hiring needs have come in that day. B.T. Kawade Road can get pretty busy with traffic, so we usually hear the sounds of the street while we are working. We spend a lot of our time going through applications and talking to candidates on the phone. Sometimes we have people come in for a chat, and it is a bit more relaxed than a formal interview room. We are not a huge team, just a few of us who know each other well and know how to get things done. We do not have any fancy mission statements or anything like that on the walls. We just have calendars and notes pinned up to remind us of what needs finishing. Some days are slow and we have time to talk about our weekends, but most days we are just busy keeping up with the requests from the companies we work with. It is a practical way to run a business and we like it this way.
