We called ourselves Emerging Farmers Producer Company Limited because we are a new group trying to make something of ourselves. We are all local farmers who live right here in the area. We know these fields like the back of our hands. Life in Dharur revolves around the seasons and the harvest. We aren't some big city company with a fancy website. We just have a small space where we meet and plan our work. Most of our time is spent out under the sun. We deal with all the usual problems like pests and water. We decided to form this company to help get our produce out to the markets without too much trouble. It’s better than everyone going separately and paying more for transport. We’re just trying to be smart about how we farm. We aren't looking to be famous, just to make sure our families are okay. If you walk through Dharur, you’ll see us working. We value the effort we put in every day. Sometimes things go well, sometimes they don't, but that’s just farming for you. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The address is simple, right at the post office area. We are just regular folks doing regular work. We just take it day by day and hope for good weather to help us.
