We’ve got our setup on Paud Road in the Kothrud area of Pune. Specifically, we’re in Flat 1A of the Nirmal Apartment, which is part of Bhusari Colony. It’s a bit of a mouthful to explain the address to delivery drivers, but we’ve been here long enough that most people know where the plot 254 on survey number 97/2 is. The production work happens right here in this apartment space. It’s not your typical industrial factory with huge chimneys; it’s more of a small-scale unit where we focus on the details. We have a few machines running, and the sound of them becomes a sort of background noise we don't even notice anymore. The flat is usually filled with the smell of new cloth and the hum of sewing. Being in a residential colony like Bhusari means we have to be mindful of the noise, so we keep things pretty orderly. We spend our days cutting fabric, checking seams, and packing up finished apparel into bags. It’s a tight-knit team, and we usually end up sharing snacks and stories while we work. Kothrud is a nice part of Pune to be in, and we like the local feel of the neighborhood. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the clothes we produce are good and that we get our work done. It’s a humble operation, but it keeps us on our toes every single day.
