You can find Dudhal Farmers Producer Company Limited over in Nigdi, which is part of the Pradhikaran area in Pune. We are tucked away in Sahyadri Colony, right behind Trimuti Hall. It is a bit different from being out in the middle of a field, but this is where we handle the business side of things. Since we are in the city area, it's easier to talk to the people who buy our goods. The office is in Sector 27/A and it's basically just a standard apartment room where we’ve set up some desks. It gets a bit crowded when more than four or five farmers show up at once. There is always traffic noise from the main road, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations, just a few calendars on the wall and some folders stacked up. We spent a lot of time figuring out how to run a company because most of us are more comfortable with a plow than a computer. It is a lot of back and forth between the village and this office in Pune. We gather here to discuss logistics and how to manage the collection of milk or whatever the season brings. It isn't a high-tech operation, just a group of people trying to make the business side of farming a little more stable for everyone involved in our circle.
