We started this because the individual farmers in our village were struggling to get their voices heard. By forming this company, we can handle our business better. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone in suits. It is just us, the people who actually grow the food. The office is out on the farm area, so expect some mud on your boots if you visit during the monsoon. We spend most of our time dealing with the logistics of the harvest. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on the storage conditions. We try to keep things simple. No one here is interested in big corporate talk. We just want to make sure the pulses and grains we grow get a decent price so we can keep our homes going.
