We are right there in Buldhana, just doing what farmers have always done, but trying to be a bit more organized about it. The hi-tech bit in the name is mostly because we wanted to try some newer ways of tracking our yields. Still, at the end of the day, it is just us in the dirt. DP Road is usually busy with people moving things back and forth, and we fit right in with that. We do not have a corporate office with air conditioning. It is just a room where we keep our records and meet to talk. Sometimes the meetings go on for hours because we cannot agree on something, but that is just how it goes with neighbors. We have all known each other for years. We are not looking for investors or anything like that. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays off. It is tough work and the sun in Buldhana does not show much mercy, but we stick together. If you are looking for us, just ask for Prakash’s place on the road. We are usually around somewhere, either at the desk or out back helping someone unload a cart. It is a busy life but it is ours.
