Dheera Commodities is based in Pune. Our office is actually Flat 402 in Block B of Kushal Nivrit. It is near Bramha Avenue in the Pune City area. We deal with commodities, which basically means we spend our time trading bulk goods and materials. It’s a lot of watching market prices and talking to suppliers across India. Working out of a flat gives it a more personal feel, I guess. It’s not like those big glass buildings in the tech parks. We have our computers and our phones, and that’s mostly what we need to get the job done. Pune is a busy city, and getting around to meet people can be a pain with the traffic, so we do a lot of our business remotely. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or anything. We just manage the commodity trades and try to stay on top of the logistics. There’s a lot of detail work involved, like making sure the weights are right and the delivery dates are set. Sometimes things go wrong with the transport or the market shifts suddenly, and we just have to adapt. It is practical work and it keeps us on our toes. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy staff. It is just us doing what we know how to do. We’ve been here in Pune for a while and we just keep things moving, day in and day out.
