Dhananjay Gift House has been sitting here at Pmt Chowk in Pimpri Sandas for a good while now. It’s just one of those local spots where you drop in when you realize you forgot a birthday present for a cousin or a neighbor. We keep the shelves stocked with all sorts of things, from plastic toys for the kids to those glass showpieces that everyone seems to like for housewarmings. The shop isn't very big, so things tend to get a bit cramped when a few people walk in at once. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes around to make space. Pimpri Sandas is a quiet enough area, but the chowk gets busy in the evenings with people heading home from work. Usually, I start the day by sweeping the front and dusting the frames. Some of the stock has been here for months, and you can tell by the way the packaging looks, but that’s just how it goes in a small shop. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s mostly just metal racks and some glass counters. People come in, ask for something shiny or useful, and we help them find it. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan running full speed. It’s a simple life running this place, just chatting with regulars and trying to keep track of what’s selling and what’s just sitting on the shelves for too long.
