Devang Traders

Located at 18/2 in Mukund Nagar, Ghatkopar West, this place is always humming with activity. Devang Traders is tucked away in a spot that’s quite tight, so we’ve had to get creative with how we store everything. There are boxes piled up almost to the ceiling in the back room. We deal with a lot of different suppliers, so there’s always someone coming or going with a delivery. The street outside is narrow, and you often hear the scooters honking. I have a small wooden desk near the entrance where I keep the registers. The ink on the rubber stamps is always drying out. It’s not the most modern setup you’ll see. The flooring is old stone that has worn down over the decades. We have a small fridge for water and that’s about it for luxuries. The lights are those long tubes that hum a little bit. We’ve been here in Ghatkopar for a long time, so we know most of the other shopkeepers on this block. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We just focus on getting the right items to the right people. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, but we find what we need eventually. It’s a busy, cramped, and very real kind of workplace. We just keep moving. We use delivery guys who know these tight corners.
