Deep Engineering

Deep Engineering is located over at 680 Chikhali Road in Gori Sankar Wadi No 1. It’s an industrial area, so there is always the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of oil in the air. We keep a fairly messy workshop because we are always in the middle of three different jobs at once. Our floor is stained with grease and there are piles of scrap metal in the corners that we haven’t gotten around to clearing out yet. We work on various mechanical parts and repairs for the people around here. The shop isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a heavy shutter and some old signs, but inside we have all the tools we need to get things moving again. We usually start our day early, around eight, and keep going until the sun goes down. Most of our work comes from word of mouth or people just walking in from the nearby units with a broken part in their hands. We don't have a front office or a receptionist; you just walk in and talk to whoever isn't holding a welding torch at the moment. It’s loud, it’s hot, and we usually end the day with black fingernails, but that’s just the nature of the work. We’ve stayed in this same spot for years because it’s where the work is.
