Deccan Plateau Farmer Producer Company Limited is run from Shri Ram Colony in Aitwade Khurd. We are based at Ashok Rajaram Patil’s place. It’s a local setup in a small community. We don't have a corporate headquarters with a sign out front. Most people just know to come to the colony if they want to talk to us. Aitwade Khurd is where we live and work. We are all farmers first. This company was formed so we could help each other with seeds and selling our produce. It is a lot of work to keep the records straight, but we try our best. Usually, you can find us sitting together discussing the next crop cycle. We don't use fancy software, just basic notebooks and some grit. The Deccan Plateau area is tough for farming sometimes, but we know the land well. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields doesn't go to waste. If someone has a problem with their harvest, we talk about it as a group. It is a very direct way of doing things. No middle management or anything like that. Just Ashok and the rest of the guys making decisions at the post in Shri Ram Colony. It is honest work. We have been doing this for several years now and it mostly stays the same.
