Datta Krupa Saloon

Datta Krupa Saloon has been operating out of the Mulchand Nuhai Shop on the Main Road in Bhawani Peth for a very long time. We are situated right in the heart of Pune, specifically near the Deep Bangla Chowk. This is a very old and traditional part of the city. The building we are in has been around for many decades. It is a very basic, traditional saloon. We do not have any of those modern revolving chairs that you see in the malls, just the solid old ones that have lasted us through many years of use. Being located on the Main Road means there is a constant stream of people walking past our door all day long. Bhawani Peth is always buzzing with some kind of activity or trade. We see all kinds of people coming in, from daily laborers to the local shop owners. I eventually took over the running of the place from my father. We have kept it pretty much the same as it was back then because that is what our customers seem to like. It is a place where men can come to get a quick shave and talk about what is happening in the Pune 411042 area. We use simple razors and scissors to do our work. The walls have some old pictures and a large mirror that has seen better days, but it still does the job perfectly well. It gets hot in the late afternoons but the door stays open.
