Dahad Prakashan

Our office is right in the middle of Shukrawar Peth in Pune. We are located at the Shubham Student Care Nest, near the MF Mandai. Being so close to the market means it’s always busy and a bit loud outside, but we like the energy. Dahad Prakashan has been in this spot for a long time. The place is packed with books and manuscripts, so there isn't much room to move around. We don't have any fancy displays or a big sign. It’s just a place for us to do our publishing work. Most of our day is spent reading, editing, and talking to printers. We use old desks that have been here since we started. It’s a very traditional environment. We don't use any corporate jargon or have big meetings about our vision. We just want to get the books printed and out to the people who want to read them. Sometimes we have students from the nearby care nest stop by to see what we are doing. It’s a very open and friendly atmosphere. We know the vendors at the Mandai and often get our snacks from them during the midday break. It feels like we are part of the heartbeat of old Pune. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just do the work we know and love in this little corner of the city, and that keeps us busy enough.
