Cropqueen Mahila Agrotech Farmers Producer Company Limited

We operate out of Shri Bhimrao Kondiram Auchormal’s place in Turkabad, which is in the Gangapur area of Aurangabad. This company is a bit different from some others because it’s really focused on the women farmers in our community. We called it Cropqueen because we wanted to show that we’re the ones doing a lot of the heavy lifting out here in the fields. We’re mostly local ladies who have spent our whole lives working the land and taking care of the crops. We know this soil better than almost anyone else around here. Starting this agrotech group was a way for us to have more of a say in how our produce is handled and sold. We meet up in Turkabad and discuss everything from which crops to plant to how we can get better equipment for the next season. It’s not a formal thing with suits and ties, just us sitting together and figuring things out as they come. Some of us have small children running around while we talk about the harvest and the prices. It gets a bit chaotic and loud sometimes, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re just trying to make sure our families are taken care of and that our hard work actually pays off for once. It’s about being independent and helping each other out when things get tough. We’re just normal people from the village trying to make a go of it.
