Creative Engineers

Creative Engineers is tucked away in Chinchwad. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while now, and most people around here know us for the metal work we do. The name says creative, but really, we are just practical people trying to solve mechanical problems. Our workshop isn't very large. It’s mostly filled with lathes and welding equipment that we’ve had for years. The floor is always covered in metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep it during the day. Chinchwad is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming into the shop. We don’t have a front desk or a waiting room. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk straight to the back where the actual work is happening. We drink a lot of tea and talk about how to fix things that have come in broken or worn out. We use old notebooks to sketch out ideas before we start cutting any metal. It’s a bit of a messy process, but it works for us and our customers. The windows are high up and covered in grime, so the light is always a bit dim inside. We don’t mind. It feels like home to us. We aren't a big corporation with fancy brochures or salesmen. We are just a few guys in Chinchwad who know how to handle tools. Sometimes we stay late when a job is tricky, and we order food from the place down the road. It’s just simple engineering work.
