Coordinator And Lecturer In Environmental Studies

You can find me at 205 1257, near the Shani Mandir Chowk in Sant Tukaram Nagar. It’s in the Pimpri area of Pune, 411018. Being a Coordinator and Lecturer in Environmental Studies means my desk is usually buried under stacks of papers, journals, and student assignments. The office is quite close to the temple, so I often hear the bells and the general hum of people visiting. It’s a lively spot. The room is a bit small, and the bookshelves are overflowing with texts about ecology and local climate issues. I have a small window that lets in some sunlight, but it also lets in the noise from the street. Pimpri is a busy part of town, and Sant Tukaram Nagar has a lot going on. I spend my hours preparing for talks, marking papers, and trying to organize the curriculum. The walls are a bit bare, maybe a few maps pinned up here and there. It’s a simple academic life. Sometimes the tea lady stops by, and we have a quick chat about the weather. It’s funny how much you talk about the environment when it’s actually your job. I try to keep things orderly, but with so many projects, there’s always something slightly out of place. It feels like a real workspace, not a showroom. Just a lot of reading and planning. My day usually ends when the streetlights come on.
