Cookie Man

You can usually find us over at G/43 on K K Nagar Road. We’re right across from the factory near Ranna Park in Kalyani Nagar. Cookie Man has been here for a while. The shop isn't very big but we make it work. Most of the day is spent handling the ovens and making sure things don't burn. It gets pretty warm inside during the afternoons. We have a few small tables but most people just grab their bags and head out. We try to keep the windows clean but with the factory across the street, it’s a constant battle with the dust. The morning air usually smells like whatever we are baking that day. We see a lot of the workers from nearby stopping in during their breaks. It’s a busy little corner of Kalyani Nagar. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to scramble to get everything ready. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us doing the work. We use simple ingredients and don't try to make things too fancy. If the sign is turned to open, we are in there working. The floor needs a good sweep every few hours because of the crumbs. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic on K K Nagar Road but you get used to it. We just enjoy the routine of it all and seeing the same people every morning. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy.
