If you’re looking for us, we are situated in the Ghorpade Peth-Swargate area of Pune, 411042. We are pretty easy to find since we’re right near the Makka Masjid. The shop is a straightforward place for men to get their hair cut. We have the usual row of mirrors and those big chairs that you can spin around. It’s not a big fancy salon with bright lights and music. Instead, we usually just have the sound of the ceiling fan and the clip-clipping of scissors. Swargate is a major hub, so there are always people moving about outside. We get a lot of guys stopping by after work or before they head to the mosque. We keep our combs in jars of blue liquid and have a stack of old newspapers for people to read while they wait. The floor is usually covered in bits of hair by the afternoon, and we take turns sweeping it up when it gets to be too much. We’ve been at this Ghorpade Peth location for quite some time now. We know how to do the standard cuts that most people want. Nothing too crazy. We just want people to walk out looking a bit neater than when they walked in. It’s a small local business and we just focus on the people who come through the door every day. We usually keep some cold water in the back if anyone gets thirsty while they are waiting.
