We are located in Thakkarbapa Nagar, right in the Kothrud area, at 41372. If you walk into our place, the first thing you’ll notice is the smell of paper and ink. It’s a bit of a mess most of the time, with boxes of books stacked up in the corners and manuscripts waiting to be looked at. We aren't one of those big publishing houses with a fancy lobby. We’re just a small team that likes putting books together and getting them out to people. A lot of our day is spent proofreading or talking to printers about why the colors don't look right. It’s a lot of back and forth, and sometimes it gets a bit stressful when a deadline is coming up. We’ve been in Kothrud for quite some time, and we've gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The shelves are overflowing, and we always say we’re going to organize them, but we never quite get around to it because there is always a new project to start. We don't have any grand statements to make about what we do. We just like books and we like the process of making them. If you come by, you might have to step over a few boxes to find a chair. It’s just how things are here. We stay busy with the editing and the distribution, and that keeps us out of trouble for the most part of the week.
