Chawla Architects

Chawla Architects is based over in Warje, Pune. Our office is at U-14 in the Chaitanyanagari complex, which is on S.No 127. It's a decent spot, not too far from the main road but quiet enough to get things done. We’ve been here for a while, working on all sorts of projects around the city. Pune is a big place, and Warje has its own local feel that we like. Our daily routine is pretty basic. We show up, look at the projects on hand, and start drawing. We have a few computers and a lot of physical files tucked away in cabinets. Sometimes we go out to sites to see how the masonry is coming along. It’s often hot and dusty out there, but you have to see it in person to know if it's right. Back at the office, we spend time figuring out where the plumbing or the wiring should go. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand. If someone needs a plan for a house or an office, they come to Chaitanyanagari and find us. The office is small, but it works for what we need. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the technical side of things. It’s just regular work for regular people in this part of Pune. We try to be as helpful as we can.
