Up here in Flat No 202 at Gulmohar Elegance, things stay pretty busy. Being in Viman Nagar on the Nagar Road means there is always noise from the traffic outside, but once you get inside the building, it settles down a bit. Chate Coaching Classes has been running out of this apartment for a while now. It’s a regular residential building, so it doesn’t feel like a cold, empty office. We’ve got desks squeezed into the rooms and whiteboards hung up on the walls where the light hits them best. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like. It keeps us fit, I suppose. The students come and go in batches, and you can always hear the sound of pens scratching or someone explaining a math problem. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a lounge, just a few chairs in the hallway for parents to sit if they arrive early. There's a small shelf near the door where students leave their shoes, and it's always a bit of a mess by the time the evening classes start. We have to remind them to keep it tidy, but you know how it is with young people in a hurry. The water cooler in the corner is probably the most popular spot in the whole flat during the summer months. It’s a simple setup, really. We just focus on the lessons and making sure everyone has a place to sit.
