Chandan Stationery & Gift Articles is based in Kothrud, specifically in the Left Bhusari Colony at the Sterling Center. We are in the Shivprasad building. It’s a pretty decent spot in a residential part of town. We’ve been here for quite some time now, serving the local families and the office workers who pass through. Our shop has a bit of everything when it comes to stationery. We have the usual notebooks, pens, and school supplies that the kids need. Then we have a section for gift articles, which people usually look at when they have a birthday party to go to. The shop isn't very large, so things are tucked into every corner. It can get a bit messy during the busy hours, but we try to keep it as neat as we can. We aren't trying to be some big corporate store; we are just a local shop that’s part of the neighborhood. We know many of our customers by their faces, and we hear a lot of local news while we’re ringing up sales. Some days are quieter than others, especially when it rains, and we just sit and wait for someone to come in. It’s a steady kind of life. We don’t have any big slogans or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and do what needs to be done. It works for us and for the people around here. It's just a simple neighborhood shop.
