Our office is up on the 9th floor of The Business Plaza, which is part of the Westin Hotel complex at No. 36/3 in Ghorpadi. Being in Pune, we have a bit of a view of the city from Unit No. 901. It’s a modern building, but inside Cavotec India Pvt. Ltd., we keep things pretty simple. There are desks, some meeting rooms that actually get used for drinking tea as much as for talking work, and plenty of paperwork. We don't really do the whole corporate jargon thing. If something needs fixing or a project needs finishing, we just talk it out and do it. Ghorpadi is a decent area to work in, though the traffic near the hotel can be a bit much at peak hours. We try to keep a relaxed vibe in the office. It’s not about being the flashiest company in Pune; it’s about being reliable. We have people from different parts of the city working here, so the lunchroom usually has a good mix of smells from everyone's home-cooked food. We aren't big on posters or motivational quotes. Usually, the walls just have calendars or some technical charts pinned up. It’s a functional space for people who have jobs to do. We go through a lot of pens and notepads. Every day is different, but the goal is always just to handle our responsibilities and head home on time.
