Buder Watch Company

Buder Watch Company is over on Mahatma Gandhi Road in the Camp area. Number 61 is where you will find us. The street is usually packed with cars and people walking by, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. Our shop is a bit small, but we have enough room for what we do. There are watches all over the place, some new and some that people brought in because they stopped working years ago. We spend a lot of time looking through those magnifying glasses at tiny gears and springs. It can be hard on the eyes after a few hours of work. The Camp area has a lot of history and you can feel it when you walk down the road. Our door stays open most of the day to let some air in, though it brings in the dust from the traffic too. We have a couple of old stools for people to sit on while they wait for a battery change or a strap adjustment. Sometimes it gets quiet and all you hear is the ticking from the walls. Other times, three or four people come in at once and it feels very crowded. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights. It’s just a regular shop where we handle watches and talk to the locals who have been coming here for a long time. We've been at this spot for quite a while now.
