Bosco Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at Kantilal Fransis Patole’s place in Bahirwadi. We’re out near Jeur in the Nagar area. It’s a quiet spot, mostly surrounded by fields. We started this group because we wanted to stop being so scattered. When each farmer does their own thing, it’s a lot harder to get anything done. Now, we meet up at the house and figure out how to buy what we need together. It’s not a fancy operation with computers and desks. It’s mostly just us sitting around and looking at the numbers. We deal with the realities of farming every single day. Some years the harvest is good, and some years it’s a struggle. We don’t try to hide that. We just work hard and hope for the best. Being in Bahirwadi means we are right in the middle of our community. Everyone knows Kantilal’s place. We aren't interested in sounding like a big city business. We speak plainly and we do our work the same way. The soil here is okay if you treat it right, and that’s what we spend our time doing. We’re just a bunch of guys who grew up on farms and decided to stick together to make things a little easier on ourselves and our families. It’s a practical way to live, and it makes the heavy lifting a bit lighter.
