Bhurik Farmer Producer Company Limited is set up at Nigdi, right on the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway. Our office is Shop T7 in the Inspiria building, near CTS No. 984. It’s a bit more of a town setting than some other farmer groups, but we are still all about the land. Being near the highway makes it easier for us to get around and see people. We have farmers coming in from the nearby areas to talk about their harvests. The shop is small but it serves our needs for now. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at the computer trying to figure out where the crops should go. It’s not always easy and sometimes the tech side of things gives us a headache. We aren't experts in marketing or anything like that. We are just people who know about farming and want to make sure the producers get a good deal. Nigdi is a busy spot, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We try to keep things grounded and not get too caught up in the fast pace of the highway life. Our focus is still on the soil and the seasons. It’s a simple business at its heart, even if we are in a more modern building. We just want to do a decent job for the farmers.
