Bhikansha Baba Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated in Mhaslakh, which is part of the Sillod tehsil in Aurangabad. We operate out of Tulshiram Sonne’s house. This is a local farmer-led business. We named it after Bhikansha Baba because that’s a name people around here respect. Most of us are just small-scale farmers who wanted to do something bigger by joining up. We don't have any slick marketing or big business plans. Our goal is just to help the farmers in Mhaslakh get better access to stuff they need. We deal with the crops and the buyers. It’s a lot of manual labor and then even more talking to get things sorted. The office isn't much to look at, just a room with some chairs and a desk where Tulshiram keeps the books. We don't use any fancy English or business terms. We just speak plainly about the crops and the money. Farming in Aurangabad has its ups and downs. Some years are great and others we just scrape by. Having this producer company makes the bad years a little easier to handle. We are just a community of people working the land. We don't need much else besides a fair price and good rain. If you're in the neighborhood, that's where you'll find us, just working away. It’s a humble setup but it belongs to us and we’re proud of that. We just take it day by day and hope for the best.
