Bhavani Sweets Dryfruits

Our shop, Bhavani Sweets Dryfruits, is in the Warje Home Colony area, over in Karvenaga. It is a place that smells like cardamom and fried snacks most of the time. We have rows of glass jars filled with different kinds of dry fruits like cashews, almonds, and raisins. Then there are the trays of fresh sweets we make every day. It’s a local spot where people from the colony come to pick up something for their evening tea or when they have guests coming over. During the festive seasons, it gets really hectic and we are all on our feet for twelve hours a day. We have to pack a lot of boxes and make sure everything is fresh for the customers. The shop is a bit traditional, not like those modern supermarkets you see in malls. We weigh everything out on the scales right in front of the customers. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by the evening, which makes some people a bit grumpy, but we try our best to keep up with the demand. Karvenaga is a nice neighborhood to be in, and we know many of our customers by their names because they’ve been coming to us for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest sweet shop in the city, we just want to provide decent snacks and sweets to the people living around Warje Home Colony. It is just simple, local business.
