Bharat Varieties

Bharat Varieties is located right in Pimple Saudagar. If you live around here, you probably know the area gets quite crowded during the weekends. We started this shop because we saw a need for a place that carries all those little things you can't always find in the bigger supermarkets. Our shelves are packed with all sorts of stuff, from household plastic items to stationery and small gifts. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we get more than four people in at once, but we make it work. The fan in the corner hums all day and we usually have the radio playing quietly in the background. We don't really have a big staff, it’s mostly just family helping out when things get busy. Pimple Saudagar has grown so much lately with all the new buildings going up, so we see a lot of new faces along with our old regulars. We try to remember what people usually buy so we can keep it in stock for them. It isn’t anything fancy, just a local shop where you can find what you need without a fuss. We spend our afternoons unpacking boxes and making sure everything is priced correctly. Sometimes we run out of change or the delivery is late, but that's just part of running a shop. We like being part of the daily routine here and seeing the neighborhood grow around us every single year.
