Our company, Bhaiyasaheb Rural Farmers Producer Company Limited, is located in Shevagal, which is in the Ghansawangi taluka. We operate out of a space cared for by Ragunath Narshirgaon Londhe. It’s a local place for local people. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Most of the time, we’re just sitting in a room with some old desks and a fan, trying to figure out the best way to move our crops. We focus on the rural farmers around here because that’s who we are ourselves. We know how hard it is to get a fair price when you’re working on your own. By coming together here in Shevagal, we try to make things a little easier for everyone. We handle things like getting fertilizers or finding buyers who won't lowball the growers. It’s not always a perfect system. We deal with bad roads and fluctuating prices just like everyone else. We don’t make big claims about changing the world. We just want to make sure the families in Ghansawangi have a bit more security. If someone has a problem with their harvest, they just walk in and we talk about it. It’s a very direct way of doing business. We aren't polished and we don't use big words. We just talk plain and work hard. That’s how things get done around here. We’re just part of the community, trying to stay afloat and help out where we can.
