Down in Vishvi, specifically at Gut No 218 in Mehkar, you will find our group. We are known as the Bg Narwade Patil Farmer Producer Company. Mostly, we are just neighbors and family members from this part of Buldhana who decided to pool our resources. Farming alone is tough these days, especially with how the markets go up and down without much warning. We spend most of our time out in the fields or meeting up to talk about what we are going to plant next. It is not a corporate setup at all. We sit around, drink some tea, and figure out how to buy supplies together so it costs us a bit less. Sometimes the work is slow, and other times we are working through the night to get things packed. Vishvi is a small place, so everyone knows who we are. We do not use any big words to describe what we do. It is just farming and trying to get things to the market in one piece. The land here is decent if you treat it right. We share tools when someone’s tractor is down and help each other out when the rain comes late or too heavy. It is just a practical way to survive.
