Barbar Men Parlours

Barbar Men Parlours is located at number 500 in Ganesh Peth. We are right near the Daruwala Pool, which is a landmark most people in this part of Pune know well. It’s a straightforward men’s shop. We’ve got the old-style chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We do haircuts and shaves, and that is about it. Most of the men who come here have been coming since they were kids, and now they bring their own sons. It’s a place to sit down, maybe read the newspaper while you wait, and listen to the radio playing in the corner. We don’t really have a fancy booking system. You just walk in and wait for your turn. Sometimes there is a bit of a queue, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone wants to look sharp for the week ahead. The shop gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but the fan keeps things moving. We keep the scissors sharp and the razors ready. There’s always some talk about the local news or whatever is going on at the market nearby. Ganesh Peth is a busy area, so it’s never quiet outside. We don’t spend much time worrying about the latest trends; we just do what we know how to do. The walls have some old posters on them, and the floor is a bit worn from all the walking. It has been our way of life for many years now.
